“The WA Labor Government is proud to be delivering the ‘Kings Park of the North’ at Yellagonga Regional Park.”
– Emily Hamilton MLA

Yellagonga Regional Park is a beautiful location in our northern suburbs and it is a wonderful place for people to connect with our natural environment.

It's a popular site for nature-based recreation, and is a haven for a wide array of wildlife such as long necked turtles, frogs, kangaroos and more than 120 species of birdlife.

That's why Emily Hamilton and the WA Labor Government are proud to be delivering significant $8.5 million investment in Yellagonga Regional Park to preserve and enhance the park — creating a ‘Kings Park of the North’.

This investment includes $2.9 million for a new seven-kilometre Mountain Bike Trail right here in Joondalup.

Mountain biking trails are a great way for people to connect with nature while also providing great physical and mental health benefits.

The new Mountain Bike Trail will connect the local community with our amazing natural environment, as well as providing better facilities.

New public amenities to be constructed on site include a gathering area with shelter and picnic tables, new toilet block, and a 100-bay car park.
