Northern suburbs MPs are delivering on their election commitments to local schools, with over $2.7 million in funding distributed for schools to begin working on a range of exciting projects that will benefit students.

At the 2021 election McGowan Labor Government northern suburbs MPs and candidates made commitments to many local schools across the electorates of Burns Beach, Carine, Hillarys, Joondalup, Kingsley and Wanneroo.

The funding was delivered to the schools on Monday 14 June 2021, giving each school the ability to commence a range of exciting upgrades and improvements.

The commitments were made after consultation with the school Principals, P&Cs and P&Fs about the needs of each individual school.

Funding will deliver numerous projects that will enhance students’ experience and learnings including upgrades to play equipment, including installing accessible equipment for special needs students.

Other projects included shade structures and outdoor sun protection; resurfacing playing courts and IT equipment to support the growth in STEM and two schools are installing solar panels.
