• P2S RUGBYWORKS donates to Share the Dignity

The impacts of COVID-19 have been felt throughout our community, and charitable organisations are no exception.

A significant donation was made last week, at the office of State Member of Parliament, Emily Hamilton MLA.

A donation by P2S RUGBYWORKS of 36 small packs of hygiene items was gratefully received by Share the Dignity.

This year’s Share the Dignity drive was significantly reduced by the pandemic.

P2S RUGBYWORKS itself benefits the community with its long-term skill development program for youth outside, or at risk of exiting, the mainstream education system. The program provides marginalised youth with the support and tools to increase their self-esteem, navigate challenges more effectively, and ultimately return to education, training or employment. You can find out more or donate at www.p2srugbyworks.com/

Other local organisations are also experiencing increased demand on their services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Comments by Emily Hamilton:

“It’s great to see groups and individuals in the Joondalup electorate being supportive of each other.

“Community is important and here in Joondalup our community is strong.”

Comments by Fraser Griggs of P2S RUGBYWORKS:

“P2S RUGBYWORKS is pleased to be able to make a small difference in the lives of women or girls who are experiencing homelessness or hardship.”

Comments by Jan Lewsey of Share the Dignity:

“As Share the Dignity’s March appeal was greatly reduced by COVID-19, we are grateful for additional donations such as this one from P2S RUGBYWORKS.”
